Children See Things Differently

Children See Things Differently
Brilliant, looks like a Dutch campaign…

Children See Things Differently

The lenticular technique (goo.gl/D951S) used in this billboard enables the viewer to switch between a real world view and that of a child. From one angle you can see cleaning products underneath a sink, through the other angle you see these same cleaning products in the fashion a child sees them.

Roald Dahl’s Classic #books # movie

leave a comment »

Wes Anderson is bringing an animated adaptation of Roald Dahl‘s 1970’s book Fantastic Mr. Fox to life on the silver screen. It’ll be probably released on December 3rd in the Netherlands and November 6th in the US.

I think I should buy my God daughter this book for Christmas.

World Breastfeeding Week

with one comment

A Pinch and a Punch for the first of the Munch! I know it should be month,

From today August 1st to 7th World Breastfeeding Week. There is lots of room here for very smutty jokes, but I’ll leave that up to you and your imagination.

Breastfeeding is very important for the growth of a child, a good way for mothers to pass on antigens to their offspring and a brilliant way to bond.

Happy News and Genes

with 3 comments

Happy news, good friends of mine are the proud new parents or a baby girl. They had a shock when the doctors told them many of the indicators for Down Syndrome, which they are now checking. I hope it all goes well for them.

Naturally hearing this made me wonder about myself, Wired recently posted Check Yourself for Genetic Abnormalities. Naturally I don’t really want it done by an expert, it’s more fun to do it yourself so I skipped right done to Perform Lab Tests at Home.

I’ll take you through the steps: Read the rest of this entry »

Weird Children’s Books

with one comment

When you are like me and read strange magazines, such as License!, you discover that there are weird children’s books out there. Like Skippyjon Jones. He is a Siamese cat, whose ears are too big for his head, his head is too big for his body and he thinks he’s a Chihuahua. And on top he has a group of imaginary Chihuahua friends. And he says “Holy Guacamole!!”

Skippyjon Jones

It won an award, so it must be healthy for children to read. But isn’t this just anthropomorphism gone mad?

That’s going on my Christmas list for my God daughter.
