Is Folksonomy part of Citizen Marketing? #seo

Simple answer: YES!

Seriously, if a group of people collaboratively generate online content that “[…] categorize content such as Web pages, online photographs, and Web links” that’s . When I blog about or tag a product or company I’m creating a category for it. An “xbox” tag on the Microsoft homepage is a label, but tagging it with “crap” is a judgement call. If enough people tagging blogs with “xbox” and “crap” a search of the tag will allow you to refine the results with “+crap“. That’s Citizen Marketing!

Even more serious, if people don’t tag the Microsoft website with “xbox“, “game” or “console” a search on these terms will turn up everything but the Microsoft website. That’s Citizen Marketing!
