Just Finished Reading “Grid Computing” #books

With the virtual development of cloud computing Grid Computing: Making The Global Infrastructure a Reality is more relevant than ever.

A collection of articles covering grid computing in all it’s forms JXTA, p2p, Globus, and the uses of grid computing.

Some articles are very relevant to me, although just as many are not. And with an Amazon list price of $128.00 a very expensive book. For the expert.

Cloud Computing

with 2 comments

For some time I’d been trying to define what cloud computing was for myself. A number of people have tried to define it at the Cloud Computing Expo, it was all written down in Twenty Experts Define Cloud Computing.

Personally I think Cloud Computing is more like an adaptive Grid, were Grid is distributed over a homogeneous platform Cloud is a more dynamic heterogeneous environment.
