Will following checklists make your company good at anything?

The main problem is that most people don’t realize that they are incompetent at performing the task they set themselves, so they grasp at every straw that comes along such as these kind of checklists rather than taking the methodical approach of setting clearly defined goals with achievable metrics.

They think they are learning by doing. Learning by doing is all well and good when you can prove that your actions and the results have a relationship…

  • Poorly-defined (or no) success metrics or goals
  • Hiring a “professional” social community manager??and/or
  • Hiring a professional expert to be your company???s voice
  • Lack of executive participation
  • Viewing social as a marketing silo
